Doesn't this sound opposite?

This week the Beeb carried the headline, "The disease that makes people zombies".

Naturally I was excited to read the article, thinking some new and exciting Solanum research was about to be reported.

Au Contraire. The article claims, "This is an infection that carries nightmarish qualities, reducing many of its victims to a zombie-like state before they go into a coma and die."

Now, I agree that Solanum certainly brings about nightmarish qualities - but isn't the zombie-like state supposed to come AFTER they go into a coma and die?

If you think that's creepy, then here's another article that you can use.

Not quite a Night of the Living Dead problem, but it's still very disturbing.

solanum can't travel through water or air. It's a virus. And viruses need a host creature.

There are many diseases out there which can comatose the unsuspecting public. Due to all the political arguments and democracy, the clever ones don't know what to believe. We don't know that it is possible for zombies to exist, I believe it is but what about the Myan predictions, Ragnarok and various other predictions. I'm not saying the zombie apocalypse won't happen but what about say... Vampires infest the earth? We would be getting ready for the wrong thing.

Heart breaking news! Hate to see people especially kids in that state. They do look like zombie-ish. I wish the disease mentioned in the news article won't spread. And I do hope they will fund research for the prevention and new treatment of that sleeping sickness.
