It's time to give the results of the latest poll. Thank you all, once again, for participating.
This poll was fairly evenly spread out among the answers, each answer receiving at least 1 vote. So here they are:
12 gauge - 00-buck = 25%
Chainsaw = 21%
Sword = 18%
Baseball bat = 14%
12 gauge - slugs = 11%
Pistol of your choice = 7%
.22 Long-rifle (pistol or rifle form) = 4%
I thought the pistols would finish higher than they did. So that was one surprise to me. Chainsaw made a late run, almost making it to the top.
I'll let you all know - I chose the baseball bat for several reasons.
1. Baseball bats make for easy destruction of the brain when giving a full swing.
2. You don't have to worry about running out of ammo.
3. More stopping/knockdown power than any gun could hope to give you.
4. There's no worry of your weapon getting stuck in the zombie as there would be with a chainsaw or sword.
5. It's easy to be mobile with a bat (this is an advantage over the chainsaw, mostly).
6. It's easy to strike while on the move (this is an advantage over any of the guns).
I'd like to hear everyone else's arguments for their weapons of choice, so please feel free to add comments.

You'd have to be one ripped motherfucker to give a bat swing that equaled a shotgun blast in stopping power, and you'd need the room to get a good swing. Ever seen the movie "Snatch"? The thug grabs Turkish's bat right out of his hand by walking up behind him. Plus, after reapeated blows against something as hard as a human skull, a wooden bat would shatter (ever watched a professional Baseball game mate?) and a hollow aluminum bat would dent or bend. I wish I could show you my Louisville slugger. It ain't pretty, and I've only used it on LIVING people. So anyways, mate, you keep swinging that bat, it worked for Joaquin Phoenix in "Signs," but that was an alien. Im pretty sure you're zombie food. An ice axe would be ideal, but a crowbar would do in a pinch (Gordan Freeman has the right idea). And a sawed off shotgun, 12 GA is a guaranteed zombie killer at close to medium range. just remeber to pump!
Ever try a desert eagle mate? puts a inch size hole in the front of your head and leaves a foot sized hole in the back, plus its more accurate than a M1 Grand.
Anyhow my dissagreements about the other weapons are, a bat like he said ^ would break or dent making it useless.
A chainsaw is equally useless considering its so heavy and the blood and organs would jam it up so many times you'd be zombie chow so im dissappointed that anyone picked this.
shotguns are good zombie killers but only in small groups, or tight hallways. otherwise useless, sniper rifle is useless as a primary weapon unless you barricaded youself in a three story building and had loads of food, water, and ammo. and the stairs were demolished.
I would use a sword. I don't know what you guys are thinking, but as a trained swordsman I could decapitate zombies all day long
